WHAT HAPPENED?
Laporte moved to the Saudi Pro League side last summer from Manchester City in a much-anticipated transfer that saw him join forces with the likes of Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo. However, the Frenchman failed to have a very major impact on the side and is now pushing to terminate his contract with Al-Nassr.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Saudi publication has reported that Laporte and his agent have opened talks with Al-Nassr to figure out a financial settlement package that would see the contract between the two sides terminated as the Spaniard looks to make a move to Real Madrid with Carlo Ancelotti looking to fortify his defence after missing out on the signing of Leny Yoro to cover for Nacho's departure.
