WHAT HAPPENED?
According to , the Reds are keen on signing the 22-year-old Ecuadorian defender in the summer, however, they could loan him back to the German side for his further development as a player before he heads to Anfield in 2025. The plan is to seal the deal as early as possible before the player's transfer value increases.

Per , the defender is currently valued at €30m, although it was earlier reported that the Bundesliga club are likely to demand a fee in the region of €50-60m. SGE have already identified FC Koln’s Julien Chabot and PAOK’s Konstantinos Koulierakis as possible replacements in case Pacho exits the club.
